Baby Birds in Nest in Grapevines 4 x 6

I was visiting my parents and enjoying the farm a few weeks ago. As I walked past the grapevines, I   heard some baby birds chirping. I took a closer look and found a robin's nest with two babies.

Of course I had my camera with me and proceeded to take some pictures. The momma bird was not too happy with me but the babies didn't seem to mind.

Teal and Gold Nature Scene

Awhile back I got on a gold and teal "kick." Every piece of art I made had teal and gold in it.
I like the way the light blue and gold colors work together.

The teal color reminds me of a dress my mom sewed for me when I was young- one of my favorites.  It was a treat to have new clothes but also a lot of work. First mom bought the material and with the help of a pattern, she carefully cut out the pieces on the kitchen table.   Next she sewed all the pieces together using the treadle sewing machine and I'd have a new dress to wear.

Boxer Pup and Bunny

I had fun creating this art in GIMP (a photo editing program). I used photos of a boxer pup and my daughter's bunny. I recolored the bunny by adding some white.

We often put Pepper (the rabbit) outside in her cage so she can enjoy some fresh grass and sunshine. The blossoming branches were probably created as a result of a pink flowering tree we have in our back yard.

Flower Arrangement Outdoors Scene

After much pondering and trying to figure out how to make this all come together, I created this art using my flower arrangement art, and white storks.  I put some flowers along the far bank and a butterfly on the left side to bring more purple into the picture.

The water brings back memories of the pond we had on the farm when I was growing up. The storks make me think of the Blue Herons that used to visit the pond, usually as the sun was setting. 

White Storks and Nest

I went on a field trip to a local zoo with my daughter's class this summer. When we came to the storks, I was thrilled to see that one of them was sitting on a nest. Of course, I took pictures and used them to create this white stork scene.
